Overview of the Action

ENTIRE is a two-year program funded by European Union Non-State and Authorities program with the main objective to strengthen the role of civil society organizations in Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) topics in the Southern Mediterranean Region working in Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, West Bank, the Gaza Strip, Syria and Tunisia.

Objectives of the action

Strengthen the role of civil society organizations in Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) topics, through:
• Successful networking activities between the German - Arab Water Sector Network and the Collective Leadership Institute.
• Improving multi-stakeholder dialogues on IWRM in the Southern Mediterranean Region.
• Promoting best practice exchanges on IWRM for collaborating institutions and relevant key actors.
• Enabling CSO-networks to implement and monitor stakeholder dialogue processes and adopt training modules into their capacity building portfolio.
• Establishing a web-based support platform on stakeholder dialogues for a broad audience and continuous learning.

Results of the action (Outcomes & outputs)

• Serving as regional platform for exchange of knowledge and nest practices among the water and wastewater utilities in the Arab Region.
• Developing resources, facilitating training programs and advocating for professional certification.
• Promoting standards for the governance, management, operation, and maintenance.
• Supporting ACWUA members including the provision of advice and consultation in water legislation and policies.
• Disseminating publications to meet the needs of members.
