Khaldon H. Khashman
Khaldon Khashman is a senior water utilities management expert, who served the water sector in Jordan for more than 25 years, where he started his career at Jordan Drinking Water Corporation in the early eighteens, then filled many vital positions at the Water Authority of Jordan in different service areas in Jordan. Eng. Khaldon Khashman is a member of board of directors at the Water Authority of Jordan, municipal councils, Jordan Engineers Association and other professional organization and a former board member in Jordan Water Company (Miyahuna), Northern Governorates Water Administration and Aqaba Water Company. He attended more than 40 local and international professional training programs covering technical, financial, legal and administrative issue in water utilities. Since 2009 and currently Eng. Khashman is working as the Secretary General for the Arab Countries Water Utilities Association (ACWUA), where he strongly believes in the importance of knowledge and experience transfer between Arab water utilities and promoting ACWUA as regional center of excellence which will partner with water supply and wastewater utilities in Arab countries to provide best practice service delivery to their customers.
Ahmad Abdellatif Al Azzam
Director of Certification, Capacity Building & Human Resources
Dr. Ahmad Abdellatif Al Azzam is holding a PhD in Management, and a Master degree (M.Sc.) in Public Administration.
Dr. Al Azzam is a finance and human resources administrator with over 22 years of experience in managing multi-disciplinary staff in municipal utilities and government ministries in Jordan. As Human Resources Director for the North Region Water Administration, he restructured the water and wastewater management utilities in the four northern governorates, and oversaw their merging into a single directorate. He developed and successfully implemented a cost center coding system for the new directorate, and a system for delegation of authority. Mr. Ahmad Al Azzam served as the Director of the Office of the Secretary General of the Ministry of Water and Irrigation for two years, with responsibility for day-to-day management of the work flow, solving problems related to service delivery and customer complaints, coordination of inter-departmental meetings, recording of the minutes of meetings and following up agendas. He was also responsible for budgetary issues including: preparation of annual recurrent and capital cost budgets and preparation of quarterly budget comparison report. He was also assisting the Secretary General in the Ministry in training activities, and monitoring and evaluation of the courses.

Abbas obtained his BA degree in Accounting from Al-Ahliyya Amman University, Jordan. Abbas has a wide knowledge and considerable experience in all financial issues through his work in different companies as Accountant and Auditor.
Sarah Abu Saleem
Communications & Marketing Team Leader
Sarah provides administrative support to ACWUA staff and mainly to the secretary general office. She started with ACWUA as communication officer and supervisor the secretary general office in March 2012 and after proving her merit in her duties, she deserved to start her responsibilities as Communication & Marketing Team Leader since January 2017.
Sarah started her Master’s degree in Al Balqa’ Applied University in Computer science, and she earned her Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering in 2011 from Al-Ahliyya Amman University. she graduated from Balqa Islamic schools specialized in the scientific field in 2007.
Her experience with ACWUA make her specialist in Logistics and administrative arrangements, and she is responsible for Events coordination and ACWUA websites in addition to many duties as a team Leader.
Business Development Team Leader
Yasmeen Khashman obtained her BSc degree in Pharmaceutical Chemical Engineering from German Jordanian University and a master degree in MBA at the Arab Open University, with almost four years of experience in Al-Hikma Pharmaceuticals in the field of operational Excellence and the field of Research & Development.
During her study, Yasmeen worked in many researches and studies, such as:
- Paper “Lean Implementation in Jordanian Pharmaceutical Industry: The Case of Hikma Company” accepted for presenting at the Innovation Arabia 9 Congress, March.2016, in Dubai, UAE.
- Poster “A New Organocatalyzed Microwave-Assisted Isocyanates-Free Synthesis of [n]-Oligourea” published in American Chemical Society the 244th, Philadelphia, USA.
- Full paper “Highly Efficient Isocyanates-Free Microwave-Assisted Synthesis of  – Oligourea” submitted –to Catalysis Science & Technology. Munich-Germany.
Yasmeen Joined ACWUA in June 2016, with a role of:
- Identifying donor agencies working in the area of water and sanitation and discerning their strategic objectives and interests in the Arab region and linking available funding resources with the needs of ACWUA members and subsequently identifying concepts for future projects of all types (training, certification, research, studies, consulting, etc) and submitting to donor agencies and following up with them on those concepts.
- Leading the process of preparing technical proposals in collaboration with specialized committees and units and/or other Teams, to be submitted to relevant parties in order to access funds necessary to carry out proposed projects and programs, this in addition to proposals to any published tenders. Following up on and developing potential business opportunities—published or unpublished, in collaboration with the Partnership Building Team, which should lead to ACWUA implementing projects that include technical consulting services to member utilities or other parties.
- Documenting the policies and procedures at ACWUA in collaboration with the Performance Monitoring Team.

Thaer obtained his B.Sc. in Accounting information system (AIS) from Balqa Applied University, Jordan.
Wa'ed Al Ja'afreh
Partnership Building Team Leader
Wa’ed Al Ja’afreh obtained her BA degree in Civil Engineering/ water and Environment from Mu’tah University, she has worked more than (9) years in water field.
Before joining ACWUA, Wa’ed worked as project engineer in Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation so she has a wide knowledge in projects that funded by donors, also she worked in private sector as design engineer for water and waste water projects.
Wa’ed has attended different workshops and Courses in Project Management, Fidic Contracts and Monitoring and Evaluation of Development Project and Programs.
Abdallah Al Manaseer
Marketing & Communications Officer
Abdallah obtained his B.Sc in Software Engineering From Al Balqa Applied University, Jordan 2013, his background in Computer Science, he have a good experience in Networking, Cloud Systems, ASP. Net Programming Language, and web interfaces designs.
Abdallah worked as a trainee at Al Sa’ad Computers Company from January 2012 – February 2013, he joined ACWUA as Marketing and Communication Officer from September 2013 until present.
Abdallah is responsible to coordinate all related IT issues at ACWUA, and communication with ACWUA Members, Donors and Partners.
Anas obtained B.Sc. of Land, Water and Environment from University of Jordan, he has attended different training and self-development workshops. Anas has a wide knowledge in research through his work as a (Research Assistant) at the Farm of the at the University of Jordan at the Jordan Valley.

Bashar obtained his BSc degree in Computer Information Systems (CIS)- Information Technology (IT) from University of Jordan. Bashar has a solid experience in project and training coordination through his work in different companies and non-profit organization.

Sarah obtained her BSc in “Agricultural Engineering” specialization in “land water and environment” from University of Jordan, 2011.
Sarah is a highly competent, capable and resourceful coordinator in trainings, workshops and event. She has gained experience in training coordination, management and marketing. Self-motivated, enthusiastic and with a can-do positive attitude and proven ability to ensure the smooth running of each training hosted.
