ACWUA organized the third regional workshop for the MDG+ Initiative in Landmark Hotel, Amman from 18-19 November, 2015 under the title:
The Regional Initiative for Establishing A Regional Mechanism for Improved Monitoring and Reporting on Access to Water Supply and Sanitation Services.
Focal points of communication from the different utilities as well as the data collection teams from the Arab Countries have met to prepare for the coming phase after the year 2015.
They presented the progress and lessons learned from their experince in collecting data at the first and second phases which resulted in publishing the first report.
They also focused on the challenges and difficulties they faced and discussed solutions that would facilitate the data collection process for the future.
Representatives from ESCWA and ACWUA, as well as representatives from partner organizations: RAED, CEDARE and Arab Water Council and the donor of the project: SIDA presented their work progress and future outlook.
