February 4, 2013 - February 6, 2013
  • This event has passed.
Under the Patronage of
His Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Saleh Al-Sada
Minister of Energy and Industry

The Arab Countries Water Utilities Association (ACWUA) is pleased to be a supporting
partner to WaterWorld Middle East & POWER-GEN Middle East for the second year. The two
events come this year under the theme “Serving the Market’s Essential Power and Water
Needs
”, to empower the future power and water industries with strategic partnerships,
new and innovative technologies and enterprising ventures.
WaterWorld Middle East annual conference and exhibition provides the opportunity for
exploring the latest technological developments, giving access to more than 1,000 water
professionals from the local and international business leaders and decision-makers in Qatar,
Asia Pacific and Europe, and provides the chance to create new business opportunities and
meet, network and exchange news about the business sector in Qatar.

By supporting the MENA Region’s Premier Water & Wastewater event; ACWUA aims to
build new liaisons with water-related industries in the Gulf region generally and in Qatar
specifically.

With rising demands for power and water, it is anticipated Arab Nations will need to invest over $130 billion to meet future demand and introduce new measures to achieve
long-term sustainable energy and water supplies. In Qatar, more than $10 billion has already been spent on power generation and water desalination in the last decade and
the country is expected to invest more than $20 billion in both power and water in the next decade.
To strategically address the current state of the demand, WaterWorld Middle East has developed a very timely, relevant and insightful conference programme. Some of the
key topics discussed include strategic looks at the changing landscape of desalination, water resource management, and utility management – as well as broader scope topics
like emerging trends and wastewater reuse.
