Regional Water Safety Plan Conference for Middle East and North Africa

This conference shall discuss the best ways, measures and instruments which are necessary for ensuring the quality of water in all various phases of production up to supplying consumers with clean fresh water according to the approved specifications. The Public Authority for Electricity and Water took the initiative to organize this conference aiming at spreading awareness among all parties responsible for providing potable water on the importance of the safety of water for the health of the individuals, society and for sustainable development. We look forward that all participants make use of the presented papers and discussion with the experts on matters related to this field in order to activate the water safety plan in the Sultanate of Oman or in the other countries which attach importance to this field.

The updated programme, information about technical visits and social programme are now available for the WSP MENA Conference at www.wsportal.org/mena. Two full days of presentations, followed by a technical visit to the Barka Desalination Plant.
